Context

• Read the content of PLAN.md
• DO NOT CONTINUE if a PLAN.md file does not exist.
• Always use the mcp__ref_search_documentation tool to find relevant library documentation for the Issue
• Always use clean code with short concise doc strings

Instructions

1. Use the PLAN.md to begin working on our active issue
2. Complete the current Phase of development and then await further instructions
3. After completing each action item, ensure that all tests are passing and the binary still builds.
4. Mark the action item as complete by updating the checkbox in markdown.
