```sh
curl -fsSL https://dots.prd.lk/install | sh
```
That command installs chezmoi to `~/.local/bin`, clones [prdlk/dotfiles](https://github.com/prdlk/dotfiles), asks three questions (name, email, machine role), installs packages, and applies every config. See [Installation](/installation) for the options, prerequisites, and the private-repo auth step.

## Machine roles
The first apply asks for a role. It controls which parts of the repo land on the machine.
| Role | Platform | Gets |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `desktop` | Arch Linux | Everything: universal toolset plus the Linux desktop layer |
| `laptop` | Arch Linux | Same as `desktop` |
| `mac` | macOS | Universal toolset via Homebrew; no Linux desktop layer |
| `server` | Any | Universal toolset only |
The default is `mac` on macOS and `desktop` everywhere else. See [Configuration](/chezmoi/config) and [Ignore rules](/chezmoi/externals-and-ignore).
## Theme
The shared palette is **cyberdream**, fixed rather than tied to the Omarchy theme so it is identical on every machine. Ghostty, tmux, nvim, bat, atuin, and yazi select it, and television selects `cyberdream-transparent`, a variant without a background. fish and omp ship a cyberdream theme but do not select it. kitty takes its colors from the active Omarchy theme. The koda and ii-auto variants are also shipped for ghostty, kitty, and yazi. The font is **Victor Mono Nerd Font**.
